Eco-friendly packaging
At Wattle I Gift we strive to be eco-friendly.
Our beautiful Wattle I Gift Boxes are sourced from leading Australian corrugated (Cardboard)
manufactures who are committed to an environmentally safe manufacturing processes which
includes sourcing sustainable paper materials. All material sourced to make the boxes are from
PEFC and FSC accredited manufactures. This means our cardboard boxes are 100% recyclable and
can be sent to any recycling facility to be processed into renewable fibreboard materials.
Within our gift boxes we utilise wood wool to protect the products while in transit as well as being
aesthetically pleasing. This is a sustainable alternative to plastic void fills such as bubble wrap, air pads
and plastic peanuts. The manufacture process is also 100% chemical free. We also use tissue paper,
FSC-certified, guarantees that the paper has been sourced in an environmentally, socially and economically
responsible manner. The tissue paper is made from 30% recycled materials. The rest is from new acid-free pulp.
And it’s 100% good to look at.
To ensure safe delivery, we wrap each box in Ranpak Geami. While traditional plastics take up to 500 years
to biodegrade, Ranpak is 100% recyclable and biodegradable, with 50% of Ranpak paper packaging
consisting of either entirely or partially recycled content. The No Issue 100% Compostable Mailer bags
are made from a combination of corn-based biopolymers and compost in 6 months, it is suitable for
both home and commercial compost. We believe it is so important to provide customers with an unboxing
experience that isn’t overrun by excessive amounts non-recyclable plastics. Our packaging also looks pretty
darn good too!
